This is the time of the year where we do reflections and make commitments. It is a good habit to have as we do need to take stock of what we have done and where we have failed and/or succeed. We would also need to take time to seek the Lord;s wisdom and direction in our lives and ministries.
If you are unsure of how to navigate through the new year, I would like to encourage you to reflect on prayers of Paul and make them your prayers:
Eph 1:17-19
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 3:16-19
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Have a Blessed New Year. May you be constantly aware of the working of the Holy Spirit in your life. May you be bold and fruitful for the Lord in 2018 and beyond.
